I love life. Seriously. L-O-V-E.

(Ok, so that was the tiniest bit sarcastic...and so was that.) This weekend was...hard.  Brennen and I had to sit down and discuss the real possibility that I WONT get to go to OKC with him for his 3 MONTH internship. It's really hard to think about.  [1] I can't get into all the classes I need to this semester, so i might end up having to get on fastgrad to take 1, i repeat, 1 class in the fall.  [2] If i stay home, i can work full time at the plasma center, making about twice what I'm making now plus health, dental, and vision insurance. [3] it would be cheaper to fly me out 4 TIMES than to rent a decent apartment there, PLUS pay rent on our apartment in Rexypoo. [4] No FAFSA for Brennen spring semester means $2200 in tuition out of our pocket.  [5] Grace in OKC vs New Car.   because the 1990 geo prizm just isn't going to cut it out there. We'll have to get a new car either way.  Dear Life, why do you have to be so stinking hard? I think you have already put us through enough.  Please stop now.  I need to make some more friends, quick. Luckily he/we don't leave until September.  So i've got a whole 6 months to prepare for this.  Wish me luck. :(

A new look..

I got a haircut a little over a week ago, and just decided to post about it.  I cut off about 5 inches max.  I love it. It's takes a little longer to do because my hair isn't naturally straight, and I can't just pull it up into a ponytail whenever i'm feeling lazy.

I pretty much love it, 

except for the extra 5 minutes it takes to do it 

and all the burns on my fingers from the straightener!

I want to apologize for my last post.  You really didn't need to read all of that. :) haha, but i will admit, it did feel good to get it all out there. :)

Roller Coaster

This is what last week felt like.  It was a roller coaster of emotions.  So many things were going on  that I seriously didn't know which way was up when the weekend rolled around.  It all started on Monday.  I didn't have to work, but that was a blessing because I had tons of homework to get done (UP).  Tuesday I worked, and then went to school for 5 hours and came home exhausted. (DOWN)  Wednesday was my birthday. (UP) I didn't have to work, but I was at school all day, and then after school i had to go to a meeting for student teaching. (DOWN)  It started at 7 and was supposed to be over at 7:30.  Well, we walked out of there at 8:50.  There went my night.  I still had homework to do. (DOWN) Thursday was partner school interviews.  BYUI student teaching has partner schools and in order to be placed in one of them, you have to do an interview.  It was like a job interview.  That intense.  So everyone was freaking out and stressing out.  They were in the MC, a building I haven't explored much, so on top of running late, I couldn't find them. (DOWN, DOWN, DOWN,) When I finally did, they informed me that the district I was interviewing for was running 15 minutes behind.  Good news for me! (UP) Or so I thought...When I finally got into the interview, there were 3 other girls with me. (UP) The principals started asking if we preferred teaching middle school or high school...whaaa?  When it came time for me to reply, I said "I'm in the wrong place", and booked it outta there.  So now I had to go find where I was supposed to be AND hope that they would still take me even though I was probably terribly late.  (DOWN) Luckily when I got there, they were even more behind.  (UP) They called me in, and I realized that I was the only one who signed up for   the 6:45 appt.  Great.  (DOWN) So it's just me and 4 principles sitting across the table.  Then they send in the girl that signed up for the 7:00 appt. (UP).  She didn't really know what she was talking about. She still had like 3 semesters till her student teaching so I don't really know what she was doing there... So now I had to look like I knew what I was doing (DOWN).  Luckily my week ended on an UP.  Friday Brennen and I went to Idaho Falls to celebrate my birthday.  We went to Jalisco's Mexican Restaurant (like Gringo's but WAY better) and then we looked at cars while we waited for our movie to start.  We saw War Horse.  

It was a great movie.  I recommend it.  Haha, the only problem was that this lady behind us would NOT stop talking throughout the entire movie.  She had to keep commenting on EVERYTHING.   Ya, I almost turned around and told her to shut up, and that's not like me.  But she was driving me crazy. I looked forward to the war scenes because it was so loud it drowned her out!

In less than 1 MONTH  I get to spend the night here with my hubby for our 2 year anniversary! :) So excited.  This is at the Black Swan Inn in Pocatello.  We stayed here for our honeymoon (except in a different suite) and I am so so so so excited to go back to this!  I found an extra $200 in our Beehive Credit Union wedding registry so this is what it's going to get used for.  Plus my parents had a 25% off coupon! so that's $50 off! And it will have two more punches on it, if anyone wants to use it!  I'm sorry that blogger is being weird and i can't figure out how to put my pictures in without it looking weird.  And I'm sorry this is such a long post!

Falling behind

Ok, all.  this week has not been a good one for my goals.  It has been really really busy with school and stuff.. Had lots of homework and partner school interviews for student teaching...super stressful stuff.  So here's where I stand.  I have had dirty dishes in my sink for about 3 days.  I never went to the gym (although I did walk home from work yesterday about 1.5 miles).  I didn't read my book, except for today for a few minutes.  I haven't found a yoga video yet. ..So yeah. Here's to a better week. 

Update

So, I just posted my goals, but I want to let everyone know that I've started doing them!  I went to the gym on Friday AND Saturday!  And my abs hurt, so i know that i got something done!  PHYSICAL--CHECK. Also, while i'm on the bikes or elliptical, I read my book, "The Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands." INTELLECTUAL--CHECK.  On Friday I went to the temple.  SPIRITUAL--CHECK.  Yesterday I watched The Lion King with the hubby, and did a puzzle.  These are my relaxing things.  MENTAL/EMOTIONAL--CHECK.  My sink is clear of dishes and other nasty stuff. ENVIRONMENTAL--CHECK.  So far so good everyone!  Only 26 days to go....
