Crazy Life

Dear all, this is what life has been like for the last week:
Haha.  Brennen's had about a billion tests and I have had to write tons of lesson plans.  I have this big 200 point project to turn in tomorrow and I think like 2/3 done with it??  So that is what I am going to be doing all night tonight.  Right now i'm in "take it one day at a time" mode.  All i have to do is make it through till next Thursday and then I get my nice little vacation at the Black Swan Inn!  I promise more information about life after that.  So yesterday was a sad day: Brennen had to tell his teachers whether or not I would be going to OKC with him this fall :'(  The answer was "No"  This pretty much breaks my heart.  It's going to be hard, but I feel like we can get through it.  Last night we talked about how we're going to occupy ourselves so that we won't be moping around the apartment all day when we're not at school/work/internship.  My plan so far: Paint my headboard.  I just got this GORGEOUS new bed set from my mom for my birthday.  My dad made my headboard out of some wood of some bunk-beds that we used to have (seriously, my dad is amazing at that kind of stuff).  We didn't really know what color we wanted to paint it, so it's just white.  But since it's made out of pine, it's kind of yellowing.  Besides, white will not go well with my new bedroom, so I'm gonna sand it down and paint it a nice chocolatey brown.  Probably close to this:
And i'm hoping to find more things to do for the room.  maybe repaint the dresser (or get a bigger one because ours is so tiny), revamp the lamp, curtains, etc. So ya, that's about all that has been happening.  Really excited for conference to be this Saturday and Sunday!  I have to work on Saturday though...through the entire thing :(  Sad.  I'm also going to miss my online religion class.  I was doing the Doctrine and Covenants this semester (the second half) and I learned a whole lot of really great stuff. I loved it because it was mostly self-directed learning and we got to read through the sections and the Institute manual...there is a lot of stuff that I learned.  This weeks lesson begins with the martyrdom of Joseph Smith..It's like when I was taking New Testament and we got to the Crucifixion of Christ...You just learn so much about that person and the trials they went through, you don't want them to die!  So it looks like I will be putting this off for a while. Anyways.  That is all.
